Graduate of Northwestern University where she studied Literature and Business. She took creative writing classes in Northwestern's Olly program and a class at the University of Chicago in creative writing. She also studied, "Acting for Life" with Robin Hughes who acted at Steppenwolf Theater and currently is a director and casting coach for Metropolis Theater in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The acting classes gave the author the ability to learn the art of master storytelling. She also took creative writing for a couple years meeting monthly with Jacob Knabb who is a professor in the English Department at University of Illinois in Chicago.
