Mi-a luat ceva pana mi-am gasit ritmul si am putut sa inteleg dinamica povestii. Multe personaje si mi s-a parut destul de greu de citit pana am reusit sa inteleg cine, cum si ce se intampla. Imi pare tare bine ca am tras de mine si am terminat de citit cartea, pentru ca a doua jumatate a fost foarte, foarte interesanta si m-a tinut cu sufletul la gura. Dar da, merita citita!

Povestea urmărește șase proscriși, cunoscuți sub numele de Dregs, care locuiesc în orașul Ketterdam. Ei sunt Kaz Brekker, un creier criminal și lider al Drojdiei; Inej Ghafa, spion și asasin; Jesper Fahey, un trăgător de ochită; Nina Zenik, o Grisha care poate controla corpul uman sau redarea inimii (gândiți-vă la magul de sânge); Matthias Helvar, un fost drüskelle care o vânează pe Grisha; și Wylan Van Eck, expert în demolări. Cei șase sunt angajați pentru a realiza un furt imposibil - pentru a pătrunde în impenetrabila Curte de Gheață și a fura un om de știință valoros.
Cartea este plină de acțiune, aventură și întorsături de poveste care m-au ținut implicat. Personajele sunt bine dezvoltate, diverse și fiecare are propria lor personalitate și poveste unică. Dinamica dintre personaje pline de camaraderie și tensiune, fiecare membru al echipei având un rol diferit de jucat în furt. Acest grup este simbolul unei familii găsite.
Diversitatea personajelor este realizată cu experiență, nu doar în ceea ce privește etnia și rasa, ci și în ceea ce privește genul și orientarea sexuală. Acest lucru adaugă un aspect unic poveștii și permite unui public larg să se vadă reflectat în personaje.
