The Son of Durnin is an introduction to the life of Adinoirum Durnin. Living in the kingdom of Strength, in the year of the Sovereign Days, Adinorium finds himself in the midst of the Silent Rebellion led by his father to dethrone the line of kings that have dishonestly risen into their cruel power. By tribulation and torture, physical, mental, and soon understood as spiritual, Adinorium realizes his idea of the world and living is far too small for this reality of suffering, joy, reason, and injustice. The deeper roots of his questions cannot grow in the depth of ground he's given them. They begin to break through the foundation of understanding that he's built and break down his ignorant stability. All of this is ordered by the "Greater," the creator and sovereign of all, as He begins to allure to Himself the young son of Durnin.
