Fourth-generation Presbyterian pastor Stephen D. McConnell is the weekly preacher at Church of the Palms in Sarasota, Florida. He has been working in Christian ministry for approximately thirty years, during which time he has pastored three churches, including his current post, and touched the lives of many people as they journeyed through the trials and tribulations of life and formed deeper relationships with God. McConnell is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary with a doctorate from the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies at Drew University. His first book, Take Me to Aslan, is a study on C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. His second book, When the Wind is Against You, brings comfort and hope and delivers practical principles for daily living that will help readers overcome adversity, rise from despair, and strengthen their faith.
