ՀԱՅԿԻՆ ՈՐՍԸ ՈՒ ՔԱՂԱԾ ԴԱՍԸ is an engaging picture book in Western Armenian with captivating water color illustrations for nature loving boys and girls between the ages 3-8. The story is about a curious child named Haik who loves catching bugs and lizards outside. One day he catches a lizard and sets it free inside the house creating chaos at home as Haik and his father are chasing after the lizard to catch him. Chaos soon turns into tears for Haik, when his father decides to set the lizard free. Haik's parents use this as a teachable moment to educate Haik about the importance of letting wild animals live free in nature where they belong. They encourage him to observe and research insects and reptiles from a distance now to help them when he grows up.

When you are done reading the book with your little one, go back to the beginning to discover the hidden grasshoppers on the pages. There are a total of 18 of them including the cover and the end papers. Some of them deeply hidden in the layers of the illustrations. The book also includes bonus pages with information about insects with an illustration of the anatomy of a grasshopper with some fascinating facts about the insect.
