The book is divided into twelve chapters and topics extensively covered are appended with case studies. The study articulates, as far as possible, developments as late as the Covid-19 pandemic period. Select historical theories and concepts, are discussed, wherever they find relevance to present day global order. The correlation between International law and operational reality has been paid due attention. Relying on my experience in the South Asian region generally and India in particular, references to regional and local contexts has been provided wherever permissible. The language is kept as simple as necessary to convey direct messages making it an easy read for academia and practitioners alike.
