Beauty is a possible outcome, but not the goal. Rather this book is about sealing wax and sanders, and cutting your own quill, and how to fold a letter to make its own envelope. It's intended for the living history practitioner or historic site interpreter who'd find being able to write like the average person of the late 1700s a useful and enjoyable adjunct to their trade.
