Dealey, Erin: - Erin Dealey is an award-winning playwright and author of over a dozen children's books (so far) including JUST FLOWERS (Sleeping Bear/ Illus. NYT bestseller Kate Cosgrove); DEAR EARTH, From Your Friends in Room 5 (NYSRA Charlotte Award/ Harper Collins/ Illus. Claire Shorrock).A former high school theater teacher, Erin began writing plays for young adults for her students to perform. Her goal is to write fun-to-rehearse, easily-staged plays with flexible casting--and sneak in some Shakespeare or themes from the classics whenever possible. As an educator and playwright, she loves when schools choose her plays for festivals and come home beaming with pride and honors.
