J.E. is a native Hoosier who has been writing and performing poetry for the last decade. He has shared his poetry for churches, conferences and events and led workshops for youth on utilizing poetry as positive self-expression. He was on Duke University's first CUPSI spoken word team in 2015 and has won or been featured at various slams and open mics across Indiana. His poetry is often inspired by Scripture, personal life experiences and his lovely wife. He currently resides in northern Indiana where he enjoys his work as a mental health therapist.
