Leo Tolstoy was a Russian writer widely considered to be one of the greatest novelists of all time. Born in 1828, Tolstoy authored several acclaimed works including War and Peace and Anna Karenina, which explore the complexities of human relationships and societal norms. Tolstoy also espoused Christian anarchist beliefs and later in life became a pacifist and moral thinker. He passed away in 1910.
