Beyond the Trees by Adeline Hicswa is an inspiring collection of poetry that reflects on different themes like contentment, nature, and faith. The author writes with beautiful imagery that draws readers into the poetry. The poems reflect on different aspects of life and the human experience, so there will be something for each reader to relate to. The author focuses on the beauty of nature in her poems, describing changing seasons and creatures and praising God for the beautiful world He has made. As they go through the book, readers will hopefully be inspired to stop during their busy weeks and take a moment to enjoy and be thankful for the world around them. Poetry is appreciation, an awareness of moments of beauty, truth, and love. The many poems that I have written are songs from my heart. I have written poetry since childhood. Something makes an impression, and then the poem comes to me. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, I taught communications in continuing education at the Berkeley School and at Berdan Institute in the Wayne, New Jersey area, where I have resided for many years. My poems have been published in anthologies in the United States and Europe.
