La o primă audiție, stilistic, mai dificil de încadrat acest album AVENGED SEVENFOLD. Am remarcat pe CITY OF EVIL (2005) sonorități heavy metal, hard rock, ceva power metal, metalcore, probabil reminiscențe ale albumelor din perioada de început a trupei americane, ceva influențe Linkin Park (piesa Betrayed), per ansamblu un sound modern, destul de fresh. Oricum am eticheta acest produs discografic, avem de a face cu un metal fără compromisuri.
