MACHINE HEAD are o istorie muzicală destul de sinuoasă, de la groove și thrash metal, la nu metal. Lansat în 2014, albumul BLOODSTONE & DIAMONDS reprezintă cu certitudine o reîntoarcere la rădăcinile groove/neothrash metal care au consacrat-o. Nu depășește Burn my eyes, albumul de debut al trupei MACHINE HEAD, dar asta nu înseamnă că nu avem de a face cu un album reușit. Foarte groove, melodios, agresiv, în doze bine calculate, progresiv, experimental, pe alocuri, melancolic chiar, acesta ar fi albumul BLOODSTONE & DIAMONDS. Now We Die, Killers & Kings, Ghosts Will Haunt My Bones, Night of Long Knives, Take Me Through the Fire sunt câteva dintre piesele de rezistență.
