We must learn to ask, but not only with the mouth, rather also in the spirit and in the truth, then we will certainly be given. - We must be able to draw from the eternal sea of life which flows around us, in us, and into all regions, then we will be the masters of existence and look, since our share is inexhaustible, towards ever newer gifts.

These treasures express nothing else but those Biblical verses - ask, and it shall be given you, etc. - Provided that the two verses have canonical truth in themselves, the given sentences are also true, and the human possesses a freedom over which he is not only amazed, filled with thanks, but which he can seldom entirely comprehend. - In the art of asking, seeking, and knocking lies hidden the great secret of humanity, and we have nothing to do but learn and practise this art in order to make our lives into a paradise.
