Brady, Raquel: - Raquel Brady is an accomplished student and writer, born and raised in Key West, Florida. Raquel has received numerous academic awards and multiple degrees, most recently her master's.​Raquel has always had a passion for cats, and has spent many afternoons sitting with the cats on her favorite bench at the Hemingway House.Raquel was presented the Silver Key for Excellence in Writing from the Alliance of Young Artists and Writers at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of 2019 for her short story "Conversations Over Catnip."The story also earned her a scholarship, which was presented to her at the Hemingway Days Festival by over a dozen of the finalists for the Hemingway lookalike contest.
