Danny Carter's fight is not done. The Sheppards are still out there, and they have Danny's brother. Luckily, Danny has allies who will follow him all the way down to the underworld - where a civil war is brewing.

Meanwhile, a mysterious preacher, styled as The Prophet, sets out his own agenda by murdering his son. As all the pieces begin to move, they converge on Danny. Will he be able to contain his dark side? The demon within is growing stronger, and if he can't control it, he may kill the very people he is trying to save; be they human, vampire, demon, lycan or ghoul.
