Intro This is my fifth (5 th) and last football statistics book. It's also probably the largest of them all. It contains all the 16 editions of the UEFA European Championship (1960-2020), and all the 10 editions of the FIFA Confederations Cup (1992-2017), the 2017 edition being the last in the competition's history. Every goalscorer, every topscorer, every winner, of every edition, is here. In August of 2015, I started to count the active players with at least 200 goals scored during their club career, adding the amount of goals scored for their national team, as well. As all my previous work, it all started as a curiosity, trying to calculate something new, and, eventually, I've found no less than 222 players, with at least 200 club career goals, during the last 50 seasons (not counting their national team goals). The last part of this book is a top of the 18 best European national teams, during the last 12 qualifying campaigns (the last 6 World Cup qualifying campaigns, and the last 6 European Championship qualifying campaigns, too). Some of them, though, played only 5 of the 6 (5/6) of them, either World Cup and European Cship qualifiers, because it happened for some of them to host some editions (France hosted the 1998 FIFA World Cup, Belgium and the Netherlands hosted the EURO 2000, the first ever UEFA European Championship to take place in two countries, Portugal hosted the 2004 European Cship, Germany hosted the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Austria and Switzerland hosted together the UEFA EURO 2008, Poland, together with Ukraine, hosted the 2012 UEFA European C'ship, France hosted the 2016 UEFA European C'ship, and Russia hosted the 2018 FIFA World Cup). The remaining chapters (a comparison between Brazil's and Argentina's national teams, the worlds biggest rivalry, at national nevel, all the Premier League hat-tricks, both by club and by player, Peru's national team, at the Copa America, and during the last 5 World Cup qualiying campaigns (just like Brazil and Argentina), as all the rest, is a huge bonus, a huge tribute, for every football fan in the world. All the 5 books required an absolute colossal effort, across many years, and not even a single one of them would not have existed, if it wasn't for my huge passion, for statistics, numbers, quick calculation, and, of course, football, the most loved sport in the world. Everything for the football fans!
