The logical dilemma goes something like this: God is before all things and the creator of all things God is sovereign over all that transpires. Evil and suffering exist. How can we conclude anything other than that God is the author of evil? How can we deny that God, in some way, delights in evil?

Many good and faithful Christians have struggled with these kinds of questions, or at the very least, with sufficiently answering them, when prompted by inquiring unbelievers.
