O carte scrisa ca un material didactic pentru toti curiosii care vor sa descopere secretele fractalilor. Autorul pune in perspectiva cursul istoriei fractalilor, abordarea matematica si exemplele din viata reala unde apar fractali. Sunt trecuti in revista toti fractalii cei mai celebrii, cum ar fi Harta Mendelbrot si fulgul de nea Kotch. Foarte mica dar foarte cuprinzatoare, avand atat explicatii cat si multe ilustratii cu fractali si grafice de functii. Autorul evidentiaza legatura dintre haos (sistemele haotice) si modul in care comportarea lor este modelata tot de catre fractali. O carte deosebita, ca o enciclopedie pentru adultii care vor sa invete lucruri noi.
