Provansal, Mathilde: - Dr. Mathilde Provansal, is a postdoctoral researcher in Sociology and Gender Studies at the Institute of Sociology, Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Her research interests include gender inequality and gender-based violence in artistic education and artistic professions, in France and Germany. In June 2023, ENS Éditions published her monograph Artistes mais femmes. Une enquête sociologique dans l'art contemporain. The book is based on her PhD thesis on gender inequality in artistic careers in contemporary art, which received the Valois Prize from the French ministry of Culture and the doctoral prize of the French National Observatory of Student Life. Juliette Rogers is working on the English translation of the book.
