Grandpa Norman and Grandma Clarisse are happily living out their old age in their home when Grandpa Norman's behavior starts to change-he is getting more and more forgetful. Their granddaughter is told that Grandpa Norman has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The granddaughter shares some of the changes she sees in her grandfather, and how her grandparents' life had to change, starting with their need for more help. The granddaughter also shares how she is learning to handle her grandfather's behavioral changes, and how to deal with her own feelings of loss. This book concludes with a letter addressed to adult caregivers, who have family members with Alzheimer's, and the author shares her personal story and experience with her father who had the disease.
