In a faraway kingdom, Nick, a young nobleman, finds a trembling, poorly clothed village girl lost in the woods. Every instinct tells Nick to help her in any way he can. However, this intriguing damsel seems determined in her stubborn rejection of his help.

Unfortunately for Emily, circumstances have the potential to throw her plans into chaos, proving that even the most determined individuals can't always get what they want.

While unrest threatens to destabilise the kingdom, an unusual and reluctant friendship blossoms and as time progresses, Nick and Emily begin to warm to each other. Stories are shared, bonds are formed, and trust starts to develop. However, everyone has secrets, some more than others, and sometimes, secrets are best left in the dark.
