Forrest and his wife Margaret served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in South America for 20+ years, before returning to the States where he now serves as Associate Director of Advancement & Minister-at-Large, speaking in churches and other venues on behalf of Wycliffe. He holds a diploma in Missionary Aviation from Moody Bible Institute. He also holds a BA and MBA from Governor's State University. He has served on the Wycliffe Board of Directors and Moody Bible Institute Alumni Association Board of Directors (two years as Board President). He is currently on the Aramaic Bible Translation Board of Directors, where he served as Chairman for 18 years. In 1980, he received the Alumnus of the Year Award from Moody Bible Institute. In 1995, he was inducted into the Bloom Township High School Hall of Fame. Following Margaret's homegoing, he married Wanda Reid. The two of them have four adult children and eight grandchildren.
