Shattuck, John: - John Shattuck is a senior fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University and Professor of Practice at the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He is a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor; former Washington director of the American Civil Liberties Union; and author of Freedom on Fire: Human Rights Wars and America's Response and co-author (with Sushma Raman and Mathias Risse) of Holding Together: The Hijacking of Rights in America and How to Reclaim Them for Everyone (The New Press).
