Part anthology, part memoir, Home Movie is an inquiry into the fabric of family. Adopted from birth, the author attempts to interpret her relationships with her adoptive and biological families, interrogating what it means to choose family while wrestling with the decision to create her own. The collection is set in California, alternating between rugged, sublime landscapes and glossy Hollywood reproductions, nature and nurture.
