I CAN! has been written with the intention of cultivating a mindset of an overcomer in young minds. It acknowledges that children should have a problem solver's attitude and that they will be rewarded for having such attitude by getting what they want in the end. It encourages children to look to what they already have to solve their problems instead of feeling defeated or seeing their goal as unachievable due to unforeseen challenges.
