Follow Jean-Michel from the Mediterranean Sea to Papua New Guinea and from Iceland to New Zealand where the Ocean Futures Society team meets Ingrid, a local biologist, saving a stranded female orca and returning her to the freedom of the sea.


For over 40 years, Jean-Michel Cousteau, explorer, environmentalist, educator and film producer, has dedicated his life to communicating his passion and concern for our water planet to the widest audience.


"Thrown overboard" at age 7 on scuba by his famous father, Jan-Michel has continued to explore the ocean. son of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, he spent most of his life exploring the seas with his family on board the calypso and the Alcyone. Following the death of his mother and later his father, Jean-Michel founded Ocean Futures Society in 1999 to continue his mission and honour the legacy of his father to protect the ocean world.


Today as President of Ocean Futures Society, Jean-Michel continues to produce films, multimedia programs and books, like this graphic novel. he continues to meet with leaders and people around the world to communicate his message to millions of people.
