Josie, a grieving priestess who feels guilty for pursuing her own happiness over her duties, and Jameson, her half-angel friend with an inferiority complex and a secret crush on her. Together, with a few of their other friends, they journey across the continent in the hopes of finding a way to resurrect her dead lovers, Kai and Cal. Ancient feuds begin to fracture their friend group and further complicate their mission when meddling, immortal ancestors appear offering "help," each with ulterior motives. As their group unravels, the two of them get closer with each day as Jameson submits himself to Josie, considering her the Goddess he's chosen to serve.
