La agente Mina Dabiri y sus compañeros del departamento de homicidios de la policía de Estocolmo se enfrentan a un nuevo reto: un niño ha desaparecido en un parque infantil y el suceso parece compartir muchas similitudes con una investigación anterior de trágico desenlace. Los pocos indicios que existen, plagados de códigos cifrados y mensajes en clave, parecen seguir las reglas de un juego ideado por una mente perversa.

Dos años después de los dramáticos acontecimientos que unieron sus vidas, Mina recurrirá de nuevo al mentalista Vincent Walder para llegar hasta el final de una trepidante investigación que, en esta ocasión, la afectará de forma muy personal: cuál es su vinculación con el caso? Quién se esconde entre las sombras? Y, por encima de todo, cuál es su objetivo?

Officer Mina Dabiri and her colleagues in the Stockholm police's homicide department face a new challenge: a child has disappeared in a playground and the event seems to share many similarities with a previous investigation with a tragic outcome. The few signs that exist, riddled with encrypted codes and coded messages, seem to follow the rules of a game devised by a perverse mind.

Two years after the dramatic events that brought their lives together, Mina will once again turn to mentalist Vincent Walder to reach the end of a fast-paced investigation that, this time, will affect her in a very personal way: what is her connection to the case? Who's hiding in the shadows? And above all, what is your goal?

As Mina tries to keep the memories of the past safe and Vincent struggles to ignore the shadow that hides his soul, the shield they have both built around him finally begins to crumble.
