And perhaps she might be pretty, too.
There is an instant attraction between Verity and the baron. The duke perceives it and, as is his custom, he asks Wembly to dine at Grosvenor Square. That dinner, and a certain broiled cod that went round the table, will spark a flurry of gossip and innuendo that settles over London and even goes so far as to wend its way to the palace.
