Leiko Ikemura (*1951, Tsu, Japan) initially studied literature in Osaka and Spain, before enrolling in painting at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes in Seville around 1973. She then lived in Zurich, and moved to Cologne in the 1980s. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, she has also lived in Berlin, where she has held a professorship in painting at the Universitä t der Kü nste since 1991. Anaë l Piaget is a French art critic, an editor at large for the Art Newspaper France, a journalist for Paris Match, a columnist for France Culture, as well as an exhibition commissioner and author of exhibition catalogues and books on contemporary design. She holds a master's degree in contemporary arts from the É cole du Louvre and a master of arts from the Courtauld Institute of Art London.
