With a promise that they will not get into any trouble,

of Branfield, NH, convince their husbands that they need a 'girl's getaway'.

They choose Compton, FL as their destination. At the same time two

men, Paul Miller, a young golfer who is the USA AMATUER winner.

and Sean McPherson a retired educator who has just been hired

to be Compton's new CITY MANAGER, arrive in the city to begin new lives.

Quite by accident, all of these people meet and become friends. The

arrival of a dangerous hurricane finds them sheltering together and

becomes the catalyst for involving them in a shocking crime and a real
