Mr. Pearson has delivered 507 training presentations and trained more than 8400 personnel in proper installation and design methods. This experience includes making and supervising more than 21,000 OTDR traces. Mr. Pearson has performed more than forty thousand OTDR, ORL, insertion loss, and dispersion tests on both multimode and singlemode cables. Mr. Pearson written four comprehensive texts on fiber installation, The Complete Guide to Fiber Optic Cable Installation (Delmar Publishers, 1997), Successful Fiber Optic Installation- The Essentials (2005), Professional Fiber Optic Installation, The Essentials For Success (2011, ISBN 9780976975434) and Mastering The OTDR [2011]. Since 1999, Mr. Pearson has been a Master Instructor for the Building Industry Consultants Services International (BICSI), and the developer of the BICSI fiber optic network design program, FO110. From 1995-1997, Mr. Pearson was a Director and the Director of Certification, of the Fiber Optic Association (FOA).Mr. Pearson has been a technical expert for a patent infringement suits, law suits between operators and end users, law suits regarding technical fraud in fiber optic cables, and performance specifications. The Academy of Professional Consultants & Advisors (APCA) certified him as a Certified Professional Consultant (CPC).
