Watkinson, Laura: - Laura Watkinson translates all kinds of books from German, Italian, Dutch, and Frisian into English. She enjoys reading and translating stories for younger readers, from picture books to YA thrillers. Three of her translated books have won the American Library Association's Mildred L. Batchelder Award. Laura lives in a tall, thin house on a canal in Amsterdam with her husband, their cat, and lots of shelves of lovely books.
