Janss, Glenn: - Glenn C. Janss, She was born into the Bullocks Wilshire retail fortune of Los Angeles and was named Woman of the year in 1968 for her work in establishing the Los Angeles Art Museum Docent Council. After living on the beaches of Malibu, she divorced her first husband and moved with her five children to Sun Valley Idaho where she founded the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, a leading arts institution in the Intermountain West. She married Sun Valley Resort owner Bill Janss and served for many years on the Nature Conservancy of Idaho and the Global National Nature Conservancy Boards and helped establish the Idaho Heritage Trust under Idaho Governor Cecil Andrus' Centennial Commission. Her spiritual interests led her to serve on the board of the Institute for Noetic Sciences. In 1985 she donated one of the country's most significant American Realism art collections in order to establish the Boise Art Museum. A champion water skier in her youth, Glenn Janss is the mother of Olympic silver medal skier Christin Cooper and four other children.
