His writing has also appeared in Harper's, National Geographic, The New Yorker, and The New York Times, among numerous other publications. Rymer has received fellowships from the John Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and Radcliffe Institute, and he has taught creative nonfiction at Bowdoin College, Harvard University, MIT, and Smith College.
