Nederlands voor kinderen is a book designed not only for kids, but for anyone who wants to start learning Dutch at a basic level & has no prior knowledge of the language. This book is a compilation of basic conversational topics with grammar. It is best suited for learners who want to focus on conversing quickly at an Al level as per the CEFR.

It serves as an aid and guide to get around in the day-to-day matters like introducing oneself, talking about family, food, clothes, house and celebrations. It gives an insight into the country & builds the foundation with all the required A1 grammar topics.

With a focus on pictures, Nederlands voor kinderen intrigues the learner to grasp basic vocabulary, thereby surpassing the monotony of theoretical learning. On an average, a student must invest at least 2-3 months to finish this book, and to build a foundation to move on to the next level.

About the Author:

A linguist by heart and an entrepreneur by choice, Richa Gujarathi is born & brought up in Pune, India. She has had a knack for learning new languages and started her career as a German translator. Eventually, she decided to self-learn & teach Dutch. Currently, she is the proud owner and founder of The Dutch Door, a leading institute for teaching Dutch language to students and professionals.

She always had a passion for writing. Thus, merging her passion with inclination, she began posting blogs on a variety of topics on her website in Dutch. Her writing itch kept growing and has finally manifested into books.

She is the first Indian to author the first official Dutch textbook for the country. She has acquired the international certificate CNaVT from KU Leuven. It has also been an honour for her to be closely in touch with Taalunie [The Dutch Union] and to be a part of de Klankbordgroep (Advisory Board) of Taalunie for non-university studies Dutch representing India.
