Nevada Gold! is a compilation of intriguing stories and relatively unknown historical events during the turbulent birth of the Silver State. Many of the tales came about from researching or tracing actual occurrences, often times going down a rabbit hole leading to a tangent of lesser-known circumstances towards the goal of keeping Nevada history alive.

Born and raised in New Jersey, author Mike Popovitch had always been an explorer, often taking his friends on wild adventures all over the state. His passion for seeking abandoned places coupled with a love of history always led him to unusual places and events that time may have forgotten. Day trips would often include a visit to a historic park or poking around lost ruins that littered remote locations.
