Foster is a veteran teacher spanning several public and charter schools in Washington, DC, Maryland, and South Carolina. She has dedicated her career to giving quality instruction to students, building curricula, helping to cultivate school cultures, and mentoring teachers to successful careers. She believes that the provision of a well-rounded educational experience for both students K-12 and teachers is the catalyst and key to a vibrant and fulfilled individual, family unit, and community. Dr. Foster whole-heartedly believes that when public school districts provide nurturing professional environments for new teachers, regardless of their specific circumstances in entering the profession, these teachers are much more likely to to be recruited and retained within the profession.
