Peter enjoyed a wealthy and privileged start to life, that all changed at the end of the war in 1945. It is incredible that Peter has been able to put aside the horrendous scenes he witnessed as a refugee in possibly one of the largest concentration camps in Yugoslavia in 1945. The Americans had left, and the Russians were in charge.

Peter witnessed torture, extreme poverty and quickly learnt how to survive in such an extreme environment.
