Meloy, Judith M.: - Judith M. Meloy student taught middle and high school German students in a year-round school before acquiring her fi rst position in Centerville, Ohio teaching German, English, Reading, and Physical Education. She completed her master's at the University of Dayton and went on to earn her PhD in Educational Inquiry and Higher Education Administration from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1986. Aft er several years working for Longwood College and the Connecticut State Department of Education, she was hired as an assistant professor in the Education Department at Castleton State College in 1989. In 1996, she was selected as a Vermont State Colleges Faculty Fellow, and in 2005, Judy received the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Castleton Alumni Association. She chose early retirement in 2007, continuing to teach and serve the university on a part-time basis.
