The non-electric solar topics include: 1) how to make a solar oven, 2) how to design a solar water distiller, 3) how to design a passive solar house, and 4) how to make air conditioning earth tubes. These topics are built on each other in concept, going from easier to harder, with the exception of earthtubes, which are supplementary to passive solar house design and involves passive cooling rather than passive heating (the latter of which is done through the design of the house itself). These four subjects are also great for people who live off grid or plan to live where there is sunshine but want to reduce their power bills.
