Poems for Jo is first and foremost a love letter to Daisy's maternal grandmother. It encapsulates trauma and healing from some of the harshest storms. The collection seeks to walk side by side with those who are struggling and need a hand to hold; someone to get on the ground and sit with; to cry with and laugh along the way. Poems for Jo is about opening up to raw emotions and not hiding or putting on a mask to make oneself more palatable.
