Evil and darkness broods in secret, a poison deep in the white caps of the Colorado mountains. Shadowy deeds slither forth from its fell peaks as Phoenix Dunnigan Rather, a teenager in high school, is forced to abandon his normal life to journey after his kidnapped parents as the enigmatic Black Widow demands their soul for his soul, freedom for consumption. Accompanied by his ever loyal companions and their elderly guide, Phoenix battles his human frailty as strange creatures, wolves, and venomous words tear wounds of flesh and fear into him.
