• Teach them to recognize 500 words in both English and Sinhala
• Boost their reading confidence by giving them more books in the Multilingual at Home collection which are all based on the vocabulary in this parent handbook
• Confirm their comprehension of the vocabulary from any of their activity books such as My First Sinhala Dictionary and My First Sinhala Counting Book
• Clap and celebrate the child when the are able to use at least 1 English and 1 Sinhala word a day competently.
• Use the extra spaces between words to record any other new words that you teach them in both English and Sinhala
