Swami Anantananda Giri is a monk and a representative of the Western Church of Sanatana Dharma and its founder, Mahamandaleshwar Swarupananda (or Guruji as he is affectionately called). Swamiji teaches the philosophy and the practice of Sanatana Dharma, "The Eternal Way". Of course many people - approximately 1/6 of the earth's population - belong to the religion of Sanatana Dharma, AKA Hinduism. As a result of this, and of the absence of any one centralized governing body or any sort of dogmatic controls, Sanatana Dharma flourishes in many forms. The Western Church of Sanatana Dharma is chiefly concerned with the practice of becoming fully enlightened and liberated while still in the body; in this very lifetime. Swamiji wants the world to know that enlightenment is a real thing and that it's something that you can realize for yourself, no matter who you are. Swamiji and the rest of the WCSD family are here to help those who feel a connection to this path.
