This collection of poems explores the relationship between the hand and the small creature held in the hand, between the aquarium wall and the being on the other side. We know how our lives are touched by the creatures lying on the rug or the windowsill, but what about all those we can scarcely look at? Spineless: Memoir in Invertebrates attempts to do that.
