Fustel de Coulanges, Numa Denis: - Numa Denis Fustel De Coulanges was born in Paris in 1830 and died in 1889. Educated at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, he late became its director. Many great French historians studies with him, and his ideas had influence, beyond the field of history proper, on French sociology and anthropology.
