Taylor, Jackson: - Jackson Taylor is a writer based in New York City. In 2017 he left tenure and a chaired academic position, as well as other long held administrative, and cultural positions to pursue a life designing gardens. Happiness in growing plants has brought contentment and deepened his contemplation on how institutional prestige & systems of power, particularly the mask of social media, can undermine free expression in literature & art. He coined the phrase: "the image before the image, before the truth" and he explores these themes in a new novel The Green Pear, and a series of poems to be published in Winter 2023.
