The Keeper rises...

In the midst of his grief following the loss of his sister, Markus is now keeping himself occupied with following the teachings of Damion Black to draw magic from The Dreaming in order to aid the City of Angels and their conquest to take back the Northern Wastelands. But their enemies are already on the move, and a deadly adversary will rise from the ashes of Nineveh in order to keep control for the nation of Xerxes. Markus must not only harness the power of The Dreaming, but he also must face the dangers of war, and with Ashlyn's help gain a foothold in the long-awaited war to come.

But when the Evil Angel makes his presence known on the other side, tugging on the strings of all who are involved with The Great Owl's Prophecy, will Markus prove himself worthy as The Keeper of The Gate, or will he succumb like many before him?
